Stitching News

Lady Judith spent the day quilting her gorgeous Pineapple Blossom quilt.
It's a beauty and I find my very own self wanting it...
but Lady Judith has already promised it to someone else, sigh!
Christabelle spent the afternoon free motion quilting the background areas of her fabulous Kaleidoscope Stack-N-Whack quilt. A stunning quilt, I will get a better picture for you next time... it's a large one.
Jean Bean's beautiful, bright Batik lattice blocks are coming along very nicely. She's taking her time as she wants it perfect... in fact she comments to herself about how perfect each one is! Batik is very easy to work with, it's very stable with it's closer weave... and smells wonderful when it's pressed with a hot iron!
Monday Sheila added all the binding to her quilted kitchen appliance covers.
I think a few others will be making these soon enough...
Quilts in the kitchen? Why not!
Not the best picture as it's slightly blurred but... here's another colour combination for the Dresden Plate cushions. Lady Judith has made several... in fact, lots of us have made several... we're loving them!
Not Dresden Plate but made with the same kind of ruler...
This one had a 10 degree angle and Susan used it to make a fabulous tree skirt.
She brought it in to show to us before it gets packed away for next years sewing prevention season.
