Tuesday Stitching

Giggly Gillian's Stack-n-Whack quilt... what an absolute stunner it is!! There's just the one last more row to be added as Gillian, like most of the ladies, had enough kaleidoscopes for 12 large blocks, hers measure 13 1/2". Finding the perfect sashing was a little taxing, I think we tried every fabric in the shop but Wow did we choose well eh!
Princess Jackie finished all the hand stitching of her binding so it's Toot Toot Toot time... This is a kiddie play mat (Like a quilt for kids but 'Elf and safety proof, tee hee) Bright and cheery, without a doubt! It's got a fabulous backing as well, with lots of red and white fabrics. See Mr. Thin Black Border there? making all the colours pop!... black on a kiddy quilt? how very dare we!!! ha ha ha

Fran came for her last class of summer... school holidays are about to start and those with kiddos to entertain can't play out as much as they might like... Still, she started a whole new project, not too difficult, not too easy... Chunky Churndash fits that space perfectly. Winter and Autumn fabrics should see this quilt finished just at the right time of year... unless summer decides to come in October?

Angie - don't those stack n wacks look good. I particularly like the green and red one with the smaller 'wheels' on the wall in your class room.

Any chance you'd do an 'apartment quilting' lesson sometime? Not up in Staffs very often but feel its something I need to learn. It sounds like you are having great fun in your very own shop - beats an office in rainy Hammersmith any day of the week!

Fantastic quilts. They look as good close to as they do at a distance. Well done to one and all.
